Xiaomi Pocophone F1 sells over 700,000 units in 3 months

Recently, Xiaomi Global Vice President, Kumar Jain, posted a tweet to celebrate the success of the company’s new line – POCOPHONE. He announced that Xiaomi Pocophone F1 users have exceeded 700,000 in just over three months. In other words, POCOPHONE F1 sold more than 700,000 units in three months.

The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 still prides as the cheapest Snapdragon 845 smartphone as it sells for about $300. In all honesty, it is very difficult to find a QualcommSnapdragon 845 smartphone with that price tag. The POCOPHONE F1 is a high-performance and cost-effective flagship created by Xiaomi. It uses a 6.18-inch  screen with a notch. The SD845 is supported by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. In the camera department, it has a 12MP+5MP dual rear camera coupled with a 20MP selfie shooter. The lights of this smartphone are kept on by a 4000 mAh battery.

Gizchina News of the week

A few days ago, the company released a new update for the Xiaomi Pocophone F1 for it to support 960fps super slow motion videos as well as 120fps and 240fps video modes. The 960fps slow motion feature can shoot slow-motion video and you can even see the beauty of the blink of an eye. The principle of the super night scene is that when the shutter is pressed, the camera will take 8 photos with different exposure schemes. The best aspects of these images will be combined to create a perfect image. The Apps section in the Settings menu was also modified. This update is released OTA thus if you participated in the beta testing, you should be getting it pretty soon.

Not enough people know about this phone, one factor why it is cheap is the display that is LCD not amoled. But amazing price for the buck/hardware offer.

Not just that; it doesn’t have NFC or a premium build either. So yes, there are compromises. However, the other aspects of the phone are top notch for the price. I just bought a 128GB storage + 6 GM RAM version of the phone for US $288 (through a friend) with all discounts factored in! Nothing else even comes close by for its specification. If we set our expectations clear, it shouldn’t bother the buyer.
