With the
S10 and
S10e out of the way, the last handset of the S10 series Samsung showed off at the
MWC 2019 is the Samsung Galaxy S10+. Notoriously the biggest smartphone from the Korean company, at least until the next Note 10 comes out.
The Samsung Galaxy S10+ brought a massive 6.4-inch display which was pretty bright and sharp with a QHD+ resolution. As always, it's one of the best panels around, using Samsung's AMOLED display tech.
Just like the S10 and S10e, also the Galaxy S10+ features rather thin curved side bezels, a not as thin top bezel and a slightly thicker bottom one.
Samsung's display is somewhat botched by the larger than usual camera hole design. That's because there are actually two cameras in the upper right corner. They are 10MP resolution for the primary one (f/1.9) while the secondary 8MP is there just to capture depth data. This will allow users to snap selfies with the fancy bokeh effect.
On the back there are the same three cameras of the S10, which means a main 12 MP with wide lens, a 12MP shooter with telephoto 2x optics and a 16 MP sensor paired with an ultra-wide lens.
The Samsung Galaxy S10+ is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 855 coupled with 8GB of RAM and either 128GB or 512GB of storage (expandable through microSD).
The battery on the handset is a big 4100mAh capacity one, supporting 15W wireless charging as well as reverse charging at up to 9W.
The Galaxy S10+ is definitely a premium phone that is worth the price (over $1000) for those who want a smartphone with no compromises. It could have been $100 cheaper and make everybody happy though.
