Redmi upcoming SD855 phone will not use a pop-up camera

As early as the Spring Festival of 2019, Xiaomi founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi Group, Lei Jun, revealed that Redmi will launch a smartphone with the latest Snapdragon 855 SoC. However, the company did not say much about this device at the time. Subsequently, there were widespread rumors that Redmi will use a pop-up camera for this device. It was quite strange because Xiaomi has never used the pop-up camera design. Today, Lu Weibing responded to the rumors with two words “not happening”.

Lu Weibing emphasized in the “Redmi Declaration of Independence”, that the brand is going to focus on high quality and good value for money product. It also “declared war” on overpriced products. Lu Weibing emphasized that the price-performance ratio is value for money. We are not willing to earn profits with asymmetric information, and we do not want users to bear the cost of long circulation. We never think that consumer electronics is a luxury. We never use price to define the quality of our products. We only use quality to determine the pros and cons of our products.

When it arrives, this will be the first flagship smartphone from Redmi and it will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC. One thing is certain, it will be cost-effective and will have a high-quality this it’s worth looking forward to.
