Pixel 3a retail packaging and pricing revealed in a new leak

Googles parent company in its Quarterly earnings call recently admitted that the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL aren’t selling as much as expected, due in part to pressure in the premium market segment, poor distribution, improper pricing and a host of other factors. This perhaps explains why Google is kin on introducing two low-cost devices –  the pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL which it hopes could be more successful than the flagship Pixel 3 lineup.

The new phones are expected to go official on May 7, and while we have had quite a lot of leaks about their specs, today’s leaks may have revealed what the retail pricing could be. Brandon Lee, on YouTube channel This is Tech Today reports that the Pixel 3a will be priced at $399 and the 3a XL will go for $479 at least in the USA, while there might be a slight variation from region to regions.

The Youtuber also revealed the retail box of the smaller Pixel 3a with the few basic details crested on it, while also confirming the purple color option that surfaced in a leaked render days ago. The Pixel 3a we are dealing with is the one with the  G020G model number and, as you can see in the images below, it is the variant destined for the United States and Canada. The package reveals it will come fitted with a 5.6-inch display, 64GB storage, and will come in light purple color.

We have heard a lot about these devices lately, with some rumors pointing to a Snapdragon 670 CPU and 4GB of RAM for the 3a and the  Snapdragon 710 CPU and 4GB of RAM for the larger variant. Of course, we’ll know for certain official details about the cameras, price, and availability at the firm’s event on May 7.
