That would definitively be a surprising move from the 5G leading company. Huawei is doing pretty well with its 5G network business.

In an interview with the business magazine, the company’s CEO revealed that the buyer will be free to modify key elements and block access to products. Furthermore, the Vendor will give full access to licenses, code, blueprints, and production expertise.

The Acquirer of Huawei’s 5G technologies could modify the source code. That means that neither Huawei nor the Chinese government would have control of the telecom’s infrastructure. There are no targeted companies right now, it could be an existing one or an entirely new firm. Since we’re talking about the world’s leader in 5G technology, many companies may show interest in the future.

Interesting enough, Huawei didn’t reveal the price of its 5G business. That may indicate that the company is still only looking into this possibility. It’s a good way to check which companies are interested and how much they would pay. The reasons for Huawei abrupt decision of selling its 5G are unclear, but it surely has something to do with the US ban.
