After launching Nokia 7.2 last month, HMD Global owned Nokia has announced yet another budget smartphone in the Indian market. This time we’re looking at the Nokia 6.2. As the name suggests, the smartphone is an upgrade over the previous-gen Nokia 6.1. Unlike Nokia 6.1, the upgraded smartphone features the dot-notch display giving users more real estate to play around with. Although the core specifications are somewhat similar. Well, here is everything you need to know about the device.

Nokia 6.2: Price in India, Availability

For some reasons, Nokia has launched the device in just a single storage variant featuring 4GB RAM. Coming to the colour options, the device is available in Ceramic Black and Ice. The device is up for grabs on Amazon India for a price tag of INR 15,999 (roughly $225). To attract more customers, the smartphone maker is offering various launch offers. These include 10 per cent cashback up to INR 2,000 on payment made using HDFC debit cards while the HSBC cardholder can enjoy 5 per cent instant discount. The brand is also offering No Cost EMI options and up to Rs 9,400 off on exchange.

Specifications, Features

Coming to the specifications, the device is equipped with a 6.3-inch PureView display that comes with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Thanks to the dot notch display and thin bezels, this allows the device to hit the 82.5 per cent screen-to-body-ratio. For an added protection, there is a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 on the display. Furthermore, the display comes with HDR10 support meaning media consumption should be a delightful experience.

Under the hood, the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The internal storage is expandable via Micro SD card to up to 512GB. Coming to the camera, the device has a triple camera module consisting of a 16MP primary sensor, 5MP depth sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, there is an 8MP snapper on the front of the device. The phone makes use of 3,500mAh battery and Android 9 Pie. Although the brand has promised the Android 10 update in the near future.

For biometrics, there is a physical fingerprint sensor at the back along with the Face Unlock feature in the software. Other connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, and Type-C 2.0
