PC Mag has been the medium chosen by Google to publicize its first opinions about 5G technology. Along with OnePlus, Google have not opted for 5G versions in their terminals. However, Rakowski has wanted to clarify everything in a very simple way: “It will come, but it is not the right time to buy a 5G phone. Both from the perspective of implementation and coverage is not good enough to reach all users. In addition, from the hardware perspective, they are immature terminals that still consume a lot of energy”.

Google’s strategy with 5G networks is very clear, the Mountain View company prefer to wait a few more months before launching a device that can take advantage of its qualities. Very few countries in the world have an infrastructure good enough to fully enjoy 5G technology. We have already seen it with Samsung in Korea and poor customer satisfaction data with the Galaxy S10+ 5G. The same will surely be repeated in all brands that have already launched this type of terminals to the market.
At the moment, Google has not marked an official date to present its first 5G mobile. They prefer to wait for the “right moment” and see how the other brands “fight” with customers and the continuous obstacles that the fifth generation can generate right now.
