Vivo S1 Pro to Launch in India with SD 665 SoC and Under $280 Price Tag

Last month, Vivo launched its mid-range smartphone dubbed Vivo S1 Pro in the Philippines. The smartphone comes with a diamond-shaped camera module at the back having four different sensors. Yesterday, we reported that the device will soon make its way to the Indian market, in January 2020 to be more precise. We now have some more information on the Indian variant of the device including the expected price range.

This report comes courtesy of 91Mobiles. If it is to be believed, then the S1 Pro Indian variant will run on the Snapdragon 655 chipset inside. It is worth noting that the Philippinian variant also touts the same processor. Furthermore, the variant will retain the diamond-shaped camera design along with a 6.38-inch punch-hole display. The phone might launch in a single storage variant featuring 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. As per the report, Vivo S1 Pro Indian pricing will be somewhere under INR 20,000 (roughly $280). To recall, the device comes with quad-camera module at the back featuring 48MP primary sensor, 8MP ultrawide lens and 2MP depth as well as a macro lens. For selfies, there is a 32MP front snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. The phone runs on the Android 9 Pie operating system based on FunTouchOS 9.2. As mentioned earlier, it runs on Snapdragon 655 chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. For biometrics, the device has an in-display optical fingerprint sensor along with software-based Face Unlock. Other specifications include Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi and USB Type-C port. All of these are fueled by a 4500mAh battery packed inside with the support of 18W  fast charging.
