Gizchina News of the week

According to IDC, the coronavirus pandemic has a huge effect on the Chinese tablet market. In the first quarter, shipments in the commercial market basically stagnated. In addition, the increase in demand with little or no supply did not help the situation. Many goods were out of stock because resumption did not take place according to schedule. The tablet shipment just couldn’t meet up with the demand in the first quarter

IDC believes that this coronavirus pandemic will affect the tablet PC shipments in the first half of 2020. However, on a medium to long-term perspective, it generates new business opportunities. Presently, there is a strong need to do basically everything from home. This means that people will be needing a larger display if you need to see details. In addition, companies will pay more attention to the construction of “future work”, accelerate the expansion of tablet devices and other terminal equipment. The need of tablets for work, education and other purposes is the main reason for the increase in demand of tablet PCs.
