OPPO seems to have silently listed its new A92s midrange phone for pre-booking in China. The new OPPO A92s starts at ¥2199 and is available for reservation on its official Chinese website as well as JD Mall. And from what we can see on the wall, this looks like a typical OPPO mid-ranger. A date is yet to be declared for the launch of the phone.
OPPO’s A series of smartphones has carved a niche for itself among the midrange phones in China. The recently listed A92s has been on the radar of leaks for quite a while with its unique back camera layout getting leaked earlier. And it doesn’t look like OPPO wants to wait for an official launch date.
The design of OPPO A92s has a quad-camera setup stacked inside a square housing with the flashlight at the centre. It sports a 6.57-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate screen. The screen has a dual punch-hole design which houses the selfie snappers.
Under the hood, OPPO A92s is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 800 SoC (which is the very first for OPPO) with support for dual-band 5G connectivity. It has either 6/8GB of RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The phone’s optics include a quad-camera setup on the rear with a 48MP Sony imx586 primary sensor, an 8MP Ultra-wide, a 2MP Macro and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has a 16MP Sony imx471 primary sensor, along with a 2MP depth sensor.
The phone is equipped with a 4000mah battery and has 18W fast charging support. It has a 3.5mm audio jack and a Type-C port at the bottom. The phone was leaked in different colours but the listing has only two colours namely, Ninety degree Black and Whisper White. Pricing starts at ¥2199 (Rs. 23,800/$310) for 6/128GB variant, and ¥ 2499(Rs. 27,000/$350 ) for 8/128GB variant.
