Today, Xiaomi has taken the wraps off “Xiaomi Privacy Brand” it comes with a brand new logo that represents the company’s commitment in protecting users’ information security and privacy. According to the company, the new logo will be present on its future products and services. It reflects the importance of user privacy protection.
The company states that MIUI provides rich and reliable capabilities for privacy protection. The company wants to ensure that the upcoming MIUI 12 will also come with groundbreaking features. Xiaomi wants to make users feel that their data is safe. The Chinese company self-developed an open-source MACE framework. It’s an AI framework that comes specifically for mobile devices. Users’ data does not need to be uploaded to the cloud, and offline computing processes will be made through mobile devices.
Xiaomi is making use of “differential privacy” in the system. This system allows for publicly sharing information about a dataset by describing the patterns of groups within the dataset while withholding information about individuals in the dates. The company will reveal more details about the “Xiaomi Privacy Brand” concept on April 27 during the MIUI 12 conference.
The new move clearly is part of a strategy to avoid problems in the future. After all, the company can have problems in the future if its MIUI software doesn’t offer reliable security features.
