POCO F2 Pro was announced earlier this month. POCO F2 Pro is the latest POCO phone and provides flagship-level specifications in half the price. And today the smartphone is finally announced in Malaysia. POCO F2 Pro isn’t a new phone but a re-branded Redmi K30 Pro, which was launched in China. Below are the specifications as well as the pricing for POCO F2 Pro in Malaysia.
POCO F2 Pro Specifications
Poco F2 Pro boasts a 6.67-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED OLED display, which will be a delight to use as there is no notch distraction. Although this display still comes with a 60Hz refresh rate, it is kind of a meh considering many brands are giving 90Hz for a lesser price tag. Anyways, the front is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. There is a quad-camera setup featuring a 64MP main camera which is Sony IMX686, 13MP ultra-wide camera, 5MP telephoto macro sensor, and finally a 2MP depth sensor. 8K recording is also possible on the F2 Pro. While a pop-up camera carrying a 20-megapixel sensor will complete your selfie requirements.

No other than Snapdragon’s flagship chipset is powering the POCO F2 Pro. Snapdragon 865 processor has been paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for the 8GB variant. While the base model gets slower LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage option. The chipset is 5G supported and as you know 5G smartphones tend to get warmer compared to 4G hence the smartphone comes with an advanced cooling system.
A 4,700mAh battery is present on the F2 Pro which can fast-charge at 30W. According to POCO, it can go 100% in just 63 minutes. Sadly, wireless charging is still not present on the POCO F2 Pro. Other notable features include a 3.5mm port, in-display fingerprint sensor. Also a Z-axis linear motor, a good old IR blaster, NFC, and IP53 splash resistance. On the software side, you will be getting Poco Launcher 2.0 on top of Android 10.
POCO F2 Pro Price in Malaysia
The POCO F2 Pro will be available in Malaysia starting on 10 June 2020. There are 2 variants including 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB. Priced at RM2199 and RM2599 respectively. The top tier model also comes with a free BlackShark Funcooler accessory that is worth RM139 according to the POCO’s official poster on Facebook.
