OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro receive the first Android 11 Beta
Oneplus is the first third-party manufacturer to supply the Android 11 beta version for its own smartphones. Specifically, this is the beginning with the current flagship devices OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. Interested users can download the beta version from the manufacturer’s website. However, OnePlus emphasizes that stability is not guaranteed. This means that the beta version is still officially listed as a developer preview and is not fit for daily use. For example, neither the Google Assistant nor Face Unlock are currently working. many other apps also do not work, and there are visual errors and stability problems with the system and apps. In addition, all user data is lost during installation, so the system must be set up again.
Other manufacturers apparently also want to follow suit soon with their test versions. Xiaomi announces that the beta will be available “soon” for the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. The trial version for the Poco F2 Pro should also be available in the near future. Oppo promises to release the Beta for the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro soon. Other manufacturers such as Nokia, Huawei and Sony will probably follow soon, as they have always participated in the beta program in previous years.
