Oppo Reno3 A goes official in Japan

Oppo has launched a mid-range Reno smartphone in Japan. Contrary to the Chinese models, the Reno3 A has a more pocket-friendly price tag of around $371. For that, it offers emphasis on a larger screen, bigger battery, IP68 waterproofing, and more.

The Reno3 A has a 6.44-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. Oppo says the Organic EL AMOLED display has around 89.9% of screen-body ratio. It is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 665 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Oppo says the Game Boot 2.0 will aid the SoC with touch sampling and refresh rate of displays for a smoother gaming experience.

There is a fingerprint sensor at the front embedded on to the display. We have the usual vertically stacked quad-camera layout on the back along with an LED flash and Oppo branding at the bottom.

A 48MP f/1.7 main shooter leads the way for the camera arrangement followed by an 8MP ultra-wide. A 2MP Macro and a 2MP depth sensor complete the package. The front notch tucks in a 16MP f/2.0 selfie shooter.
