MediaTek T750 launched – A new 5G platform for fixed wireless access and mobile hotspot

MediaTek recently announced the launch of a new 5G platform, MediaTek T750. This solution is for the new generation of 5G CPE wireless products. These products include 5G fixed wireless access (FWA), mobile hotspot (MiFi), and other devices. These devices are for home, businesses, and mobile users. It promises a better high-speed 5G connection.

MediaTek low-end 5G

The T750 uses an advanced 7nm process. It highly integrates 5G modem and quad-core Arm CPU. This solution provides complete functions and configurations. This allows equipment manufacturers to create sophisticated high-performance consumer products. Currently, MediaTek T750 has been sent to some manufacturers for trials.

The MediaTek T750 5G router supports the Sub-6GHz frequency band and brings more convenient broadband options. This is important for areas with limited digital subscriber line (DSL), cable, or optical fiber services. It also makes it easier to access existing wireless services and signals in suburbs, rural areas and other remote areas. Furthermore, users can also get ultra-high-speed internet connections.

The T750 platform supports dual-carrier aggregation (2CC CA) in the 5G Sub-6GHz frequency band and has a wider 5G signal coverage. It is an ideal choice for indoor and outdoor fixed wireless access products such as home routers and mobile hotspots. In addition, T750 highly integrates 5G NR FR1 modem and a quad-core Arm Cortex-A55 processor. It also has a complete functional configuration.

MediaTek T750 offers consumers a small 5G device that they can self install. This eliminates the time-consuming troubles of a fixed line broadband installation. The 5G network speed it provides is comparable to that of fixed-line services. Also, there is no need for operators to lay cables or optical fibers that incur costs. The T750 platform integrates MediaTek wireless connectivity solutions, such as 4×4 and 2×2+2×2 dual-band Wi-Fi 6 chips to cover high-speed 5G networks to terminal devices.
