Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip could soon appear in several phones with very large batteries. A new leak claims that three phones with this, will arrive in October.
Tipster Digital Chat Station has said on a post on weibo that the phones will have batteries rated at 8,400mAh, 9,000mAh and around 10,000mAh. All three shoud also support fast wired charging and full-speed wireless charging.
These details have not been confirmed by the phone makers yet. The exact models are also unknown, but Digital chat station is a pretty reliable leaker.

10,000mAh batteries could become common

Large batteries are becoming more common in high-end Android phones. A lot of upcoming models are already said to use capacities well above 8,000mAh.
The iQOO 16, for example, has launched with an 8,400mAh battery and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. The OnePlus 16 is also expected to use a 9,000mAh battery.
The new leak suggests that another phone could go even further. A battery close to 10,000mAh would be unusually large for a flagship phone.
Charging speed will also matter. The leak says all three phones will support 100W or faster wired charging, along with full wireless charging. But the exact charging speeds have not been confirmed for each model.

Qualcomm's new chip is already here

Qualcomm officially announced the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 in September. The Extreme version is the more powerful of the two and uses a 2nm manufacturing process.
Qualcomm says the new chip brings higher performance and better efficiency. It also includes new features for AI, gaming and cameras.
More phones using the new chips are expected to arrive over the coming months. If the latest leak is correct, October could bring several of them at once.
For now, the biggest question is which three phones will use the huge batteries. More details should appear as their launches get closer, and we will keep you updated!
