Galaxy Note 10 duo receives September 2020 security update globally

Galaxy Note 10 Lite

Since the beginning of this month, Samsung has been quite aggressive when it comes to rolling out the September 2020 security patch update to its device. In fact, the chaebol recently rolled out the latest security patch to the older Galaxy S8 duo as well. Well, the smartphone maker is now rolling out the update to the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus as well, and that too globally.

There has been a slight delay with the Note 10 duo lineup for the new security patch update. That might be due to the fact that the devices started receiving the One UI 2.5 update instead. Well, Samsung has now rolled out the security patch update and as expected, it doesn’t bring anything else. It’s a small update that only fixes the various security-related bugs.

For those Note 10 devices that are already running on One UI 2.5 software, the latest September 2020 Android security patch was already a part of the package. The rest of the devices have now started getting the security patch update. You should have got the update notification already and if you haven’t, you can check out the status by manually heading over to Security>>Software Update>>Download and Install.

With that said, it looks like the new update is arriving widely and even the carrier-locked models in the US have been using the new update for a couple of days. Sadly, the Verizon locked Note 10 lineup has not received the update at the time of writing this.

Galaxy Note 10 lineup to also receive One UI 3.0

While Galaxy Note 10 started receiving the One UI 2.5 update, the users in Canada and the UK are still waiting for the update. There is no solid information when the same will be happening for the two countries. It is also worth mentioning that the lineup will also receive the latest Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update. We don’t expect that to happen anytime soon.

Apart from this, Samsung recently launched its Galaxy S20 FE that brings flagship-grade specs to less premium price. The device comes with features such as 120Hz display, Snapdragon 865 chipset/ Exynos 990 SoC, 6GB RAM, and much more. It even comes with 25W fast charging along with wireless and reversible wireless charging technology. The device comes with a price tag of $699 and has a bunch of color options to choose from.
