Xiaomi will begin pushing the stable version of HyperOS 4 on October 15, one day after its beta recruitment program ends.
Xiaomi unveiled
HyperOS 4 on August 13, and the beta started the next day. The update runs on Android 17 and brings a glass-style redesign and new AI features. It arrives in batches, so some owners will wait longer than others, and the schedule covers China only for now, but we should expect a global schedule soon.
Who Gets It First
According to
Xiaomi's official schedule, the first batch includes the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (with its Leica Edition), 17 Pro Max, 17 Pro and 17. It also covers the Redmi K100 Pro Max, K100 Pro, K90 Pro Max and K90, plus the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro and Pad 8. The Redmi K100 Pro models joined the beta only on September 17, yet still made the first stable wave. A second group follows by October 31. It includes the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro, the Redmi K90 Max and K90 Ultra, and the Redmi Turbo 5 series.
How to Check Your Phone
After the beta closes, you can look for the update in their system settings. Because Xiaomi sends it in batches, the notice may not appear on October 15 for everyone, but still, you should keep watching. Xiaomi itself calls its timelines approximate. Phones with the same model name can receive the update weeks apart in different regions. Older models have the longest wait, since the full schedule runs in waves through January 2027.
What About Phones Outside China?
Xiaomi has not published a stable schedule for global markets. A global beta is already running on the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra, followed by the 17T, 17T Pro, 15 and 15 Ultra. One outlet estimates that global stable builds could arrive four to six weeks after China, based on past patterns. That is just my guess, not a promise yall! Xiaomi's Mi Code tracker already lists OS4.0.1.0 builds for a wider range of devices, including the Xiaomi 18 series and some POCO phones. A listed build only shows that testing is underway. It does not confirm a release date.
What to Keep in Mind
A staged rollout exists to catch problems early. Stable still does not mean bug-free, so waiting a few days for your notice is not a bad choice. If the phone is your main device, back up your data before you update.
