In October, the new flagship smartphone OnePlus 8T will be presented, which will be the fastest smartphone in this line, and will also receive 65W high-speed charging. Ahead of the launch of the phone, OnePlus has slashed prices for the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro.

OnePlus 8/8 Pro prices decline ahead of the OnePlus 8T announcement

At the moment, the OnePlus 8 Pro version of the flagship smartphone with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory is offered for $900, which is $100 below the starting price. The 8GB version dropped from $900 to $800.

Equipped with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the OnePlus 8 smartphone is now available for $600 in Glacial Green. The OnePlus 8 version, which comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of flash storage, is offered for $700 instead of $800.

At this price point, the base version of the OnePlus 8 might seem more attractive compared to the new low-cost flagship Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, which costs $700. However, the Samsung smartphone has a better 120 Hz screen, support for wireless charging, a larger battery and a great camera.

OnePlus CEO Pete Lau recently revealed that the upcoming OnePlus 8T is equipped with a dual-cell battery with a total capacity of 4,500mAh and support for Warp Charge 65 fast charging. Users will be able to charge the OnePlus 8T to 58% in 15 minutes and up to 100% of the total in 35 minutes. However, it will not receive a wireless charging function.
