Lenovo’s owned Motorola has now launched its Razr 5G foldable smartphone in the second-largest smartphone market i.e. India. For those who’re unaware, the device first went on the sale in China and ended up performing successfully. Well, it’s now time for the Indian market to taste the 5G new foldable device from the brand. The Razr 5G is a successor to the previously launched Razr 2019 foldable phone.
Motorola Razr 5G: Price in India, Availability
The all-new Razr 5G smartphone comes in a single memory configuration featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB built-in storage. The device comes in a single color option as well namely Polish Graphite. Coming to the pricing, the foldable phone is going to set you back around INR 1,24,999 (i.e. $1706). Talking about the availability, the device is already up for pre-booking on Flipkart, an Indian e-commerce platform.
The sale, on the other hand, will kickstart from next week i.e. on October 12. From that date, the device will also hit the offline retail channels. Motorola is also offering a few launch offers to attract more customers. We’re looking at an instant INR 10,000 discount on HDFC Bank credit card or credit/debit EMI transaction. The brand has also partnered with Reliance Jio to offer double data benefits and a one-year unlimited service.
Since this is not the first time we’re hearing about the Razr 5G foldable phone, we were already aware of the internals. Motorola Razr 5G is equipped with a 6.2-inch plastic OLED foldable display having a resolution of 876 x 2142 pixels and an aspect ratio of 21:9. The device also comes with a 2.7-inch OLED secondary display placed on top of the flip panel. The secondary display has a resolution of 600 x 800 pixels and a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Under the hood, the device makes use of an upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset paired with 8GB RAM and Adreno 620 GPU. The in-built storage isn’t expandable if you’re wondering. For optics, the device features a single 48MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7. Of course, it comes with OIS stabilization along with laser autofocus tech.
For selfies, there is a single 20MP camera sensor that sits above the foldable display. It has an aperture of f/2.2. All of these run on a rather smaller 2,800 mAh battery that can refuel itself using 15W fast charging. On the software front, the device makes use of the stock Android 10 operating system. Other specs include Bluetooth, 5G, LTE, NFC, Type-C port, and water-repellent coating.
