MIUI 12 (Android 11) beta now available for Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro


Xiaomi has been releasing its latest MIUI 12 (Android 11) update to many of its smartphones. A few days ago, the Redmi K30i 5G started receiving the development beta of this update. Now, there are reports from users that the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is also getting the MIUI 12 development beta on top of Android 11. Presently, the latest stable update on the Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro is V12.0.1.0.QFDCNXM. This update is MIUI 12 on top of Android 10. As of now, we can not tell when the stable version of MIUI 12 on top of Android 11 will arrive.

According to Xiaomi’s official announcement, these are the major features to look out for in this update

  • Browser: A new multi-window page, with a new module, which can easily restore previously closed web pages
  • The web video player has been reworked. Under most web pages, it can support 0.75-3 times the speed of playback, video download, and screen projection
  • The history functions such as horizontal and vertical view of window pages are offline. This simplifies the operation of adding bookmarks. It also moves “Add to Desktop” to “Menu-Toolbox”
  • The new search start page adds bookmarks and frequently visited modules. Also, search and access bookmarks can be operated on the same page – this is more convenient

The Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro was released on November 5, 2019. This smartphone comes with a 108MP  rear camera and uses a Snapdragon 730G processor. In terms of price, Xiaomi CC9 Pro 6GB+128GB is selling for 2799 yuan. However, the 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB  versions are on the shelf for 3099 yuan ($463) and 3499 yuan ($522) respectively.
