Vivo S7, NEX3S, and other models get the OriginOS beta

Sometime last month, Vivo officially released its new user interface, OriginOS. According to reports, this new Android skin will debut on the next-generation X flagship model. Vivo’s upgrade plan for the OriginOS contains more than ten devices including Vivo X50, NEX 3S, and iQOO5. Earlier this month, Vivo and IQOO also officially commenced closed beta recruitment. The first batches include Vivo X50, S7, and NEX 3S, as well as iQOO and iQOO Neo3. According to multiple reports on Weibo, the Vivo S7, NEX3S, and other models already have the OriginOS internal beta. Nevertheless, the update content is not fully available for now.

The new system provides Android and Origin desktops. These desktops also come with different design styles and users can switch between the two freely. Furthermore, OriginOS uses the Huarong Grid desktop grid system. This new desktop fits the silver partition rate and flexibly / freely displays each element of the desktop. You can also create a variety of imaginative layout combinations through each basic unit. There are also atomic notifications, atomic walkmans, atomic component libraries, navigation gestures, etc.

In addition, OriginOS supports “weather window” which brings a real and natural phenomenon to the desktop. You can modify the appearance of the various weather phenomena to suit your need. The shape, size, and density of a cloud layer are all simulated and drawn by sampling thousands of sceneries from different regions. Even the moving speed of the clouds will have different performances due to the magnitude of the wind.

OriginOS supports new navigation gestures and there is no need to read complicated guides. Up to 26 navigation combinations can be completed by just clicking. It not only satisfies the original usage habits but also provides a great imagination space for creating your own gesture combination.
