Xiaomi Mi Band 6 with an AMOLED display and NFC launched for $35


At the massive launch event of Chinese manufacturer, Xiaomi, we have a lot of devices hitting the road. We already have the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro, Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Now, the company has officially released the Xiaomi Mi Band 6, the successor to the Mi Band 5. At the beginning of the Band 6 launch, Xiaomi reminded us that the Mi Band has a cumulative sales of 120 million units.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 comes with a 1.56-inch AMOLED track-type full screen. According to Xiaomi, this is a comprehensive screen with a higher display area. Relative to the previous generation, the display area is 50% higher. It also has a display accuracy of 326 PPI retina screens.

Furthermore, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 supports automatic recognition of 30 professional sports modes. It also includes no less than 130 full-screen dials and also supports custom dials. This device supports up to 70+ models cool IP dial as well as 50+ full-screen dials. The company claims that users can change the dials seamlessly and at will.

In terms of the health detection parameters, the Xiaomi Mi Band 6 comes with an upgrade. It supports a new blood oxygen detection which will help users. Of course, this smart band supports the regular heart rate monitoring that comes with most bands. However, Xiaomi says that its heart rate monitoring feature is top-notch. It offers better and more stable results than others in the market.

In the battery end, the Mi Band 6 comes with an upgraded magnetic charging. According to the company, has 14 days battery life. However, the company did not give the usgae scenario for the 14 days battery life. Of course, the Mi Band 6 also supportsĀ 50 meters waterproof. This supports usage of this band in multiple aquatic scenarios including swimming, fishing etc.

The Xiaomi Mi Band 6 also supports NFC. However, there is no mention that this feature will work globally. Thus, we expect that like other versions, the Mi Band 6 NFC version will be limited to China. This will enable easy payments on theĀ bus subway and other payments platform.

In terms of price, the standard version of this smart band costs 229 yuan while the NFC version sells for 279 yuan. This device will be available for pre-sale at 22:00 tonight, the first official sale will take place on April 2nd.
