Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite is official – premiers the Snapdragon 780G SoC

Like we may already know, this Xiaomi event is pretty large and welcomes a lot of devices. In addition to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the company also launched the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite (Youth Edition). The highlight of this device is that it premiers the Qualcomm Snapdragon 780G SoC. This smartphone should be the cheapest device in the entire Xiaomi Mi 11 series. It is also the thinnest and lightest mobile phone in Xiaomi’s history.

This device has more colour options than any other device in the Xiaomi Mi 11 series. The Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite is available in pink, sky blue, black, light green, grey and yellow colour options. This device is only 6.81 mm thick and weighs 159g. This means that it is 15.5% thinner and 37g lighter than the Xiaomi Mi 11. Furthermore, it uses a dual 2.5D glass design, much like a flagship phone.

This device uses a 6.55-inch AMOLED flexible screen that supports a 90H refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. This display also supports DCI-P3 wide colour gamut as well as Dolby Vision. Furthermore, the ultimate narrow bezel design of this phone is another attractive aspect. It uses a punch-hole design (on the left) and the bezel is 1.88 mm thin on all sides except the chin which is 2.75 mm thick. Despite the thin bezels, this device also comes with effective dual speakers.

In the camera department, this device comes with a triple rear camera setup. It uses a 64MP main camera as well as an 8MP super wide-angle and a 5MP telephoto and macro sensor. On the front, there is a 20MP shooter just like the rest of the series. This front sensor offers a natural beauty selfie, fixes small flaws, and retains the original beauty. It also supports super night scene mode that makes people more beautiful in the dark. Also, it fixes pale skin tones, matches different skin tones to preset 8 skin tones. It further supports a 2x zoom selfie, the distance is just right with good details.

It uses the same 5nm process, A78 CPU architecture, and ISP image processor as the Snapdragon 888.  This chip also uses the same sixth-generation Qualcomm AI engine as  SD888, with a computing power of up to 12 TOPS

Under the hood, this smartphone comes with a built-in 4250 mAh large battery. It also uses a floating heat pipe liquid cooling system to ensure continuous output. Other features include a third-generation integrated dual 5G baseband and stereo dual speakers
