POCO Wireless Neckband surfaces on BIS certifcation

POCO Wireless Neckband

POCO, last year, announced that it will soon unveil new products under the smartphone accessories category. Of course, one of these products includes the audio segment. The company is working on a new product for the trending true wireless stereo earbuds called POCO Pop Buds. Back in the last month, the POCO Pop Buds appeared on Bluetooth SIG listing, revealing that it is nothing but a rebranded Redmi AirDots 3 Pro. Now, POCO Wireless Neckband Earphones have emerged on the BIS certification website hinting towards an imminent launch. The certification listing reveals that the upcoming POCO Neckband earphone will carry model number LYXQEJ05WM. Apparently, this product is another of POCO rebadges, in other words, a white-label product.

The Bureau of Indian Standards has revealed the upcoming POCO Wireless Neckband will carry model number LYXQEJ05WM. The Mi Neckband Earphones Pro, launched earlier this year in the country, also has the same model number. This further confirms our belief that this is yet another of POCO rebranded products. We’re used in seeing this happening with products that aren’t available in India. However, it’s quite curious to see POCO bringing back a product that already is available under Mi branding. The question is if there will be any different.

Gizchina News of the week

POCO Wireless Neckband is a rebranded Mi Bluetooth Neckband

The Mi Bluetooth Neckband Earphones Pro packs 10mm bass drivers and supports Dual noise cancellation including ANC, and ENC. The Active Noise Cancellation on the neckband earphones can reduce the surrounding noise by up to 25 dB. It also has a 125ms low latency audio mode. The Mi Bluetooth Neckband Pro draws power from a 150mAh Li-ion polymer battery unit that offers 20 hours of battery life on a single charge. It also features a micro-USB port for charging. Moreover, there is an IPX5 rating making it splash and sweatproof. It uses Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity and weighs just 36 grams.

The Mi Bluetooth Neckband Pro retails in black, and blue colors, and it’s priced at INR 1,799 in the country. Now the question is when the company will unveil this product? Well, we have a pretty good idea of when. POCO is gearing up to launch a duo of new smartphones. These devices, also rebranded existing Redmi smartphones, are the POCO X3 GT and POCO F3 GT. The latter was recently certified by BIS which puts it inches closer from a release. The device will launch in the third quarter of 2021 which starts as soon as in the next month.
