A few days ago, Huawei officially released the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro which supports 66W wired charging. However, none of these smartphones come with a standard fast charging charger. Today, Huawei officially released a new charger that will fit these smartphones. The Huawei 66W GaN (Gallium Nitride) super fast multi-port charger is official. This charger comes with a retail price of 399 yuan ($62). However, there will be a 20 yuan ($3) discount which takes the price to 379 yuan ($59).
According to reports, the Huawei 66W GaN charger comes with two USB-A interfaces and one USB Type-C interface. To avoid simultaneous use, the USB Type-C port has links to the USB Type-A port. In terms of parameters, the orange USB-A1 port supports Huawei’s proprietary super fast charge protocol. It has a maximum output power of 66W and supports 5V 3A, 10V 4A, 11V 6A multiple gears. The orange Type-C port supports a maximum output of 20V 3.25A and a power of 65W. It is compatible with multiple charging protocols such as PD3.0, PPS, SCP, and FCP. With this port, users can also charge laptops, tablets, and other devices.
The purple USB-A2 port provides 5V 2A, 5V 4A, 10V 2.25A multiple gears, and the maximum output power is 22.5W. The orange USB-A1 output interface supports 66W, and 40W Huawei Super Fast Charge.

In terms of safety, the charger provides 8-fold protection, including short-circuit protection, electromagnetic field protection, over-current protection, lightning protection, over-temperature protection, and under-voltage protection. In terms of overall appearance, the Huawei 66W GaN charger adopts a pure white design and the pins are straight. This means that this device does not support a foldable charging pin. The dimension of the charger is 31.0mm × 31.0mm × 62.0mm, and it weighs 110g.
The company also unveiled a new multi-device smart wireless charging board. This wireless charging board supports a 15W (x3) large charging area. This means that it can charge three devices at the same time. Also, all the devices will be charging at 15W. The new charging board adopts a 3-layer three-dimensional large coil arrangement and intelligently combines the charging area according to the charging device to increase the charging area and reduce the charging gap. Whether it is a large device such as a mobile phone or a tablet, or a small device such as a headset or a watch, you can place it for charging.
In terms of price, Huawei’s multi-device intelligent wireless charging board comes with a 799 yuan ($124) price tag. According to the company, this device will officially commence presale on September 1o, 2021.
