Vivo X70 and X70 Pro leaked in press renders

Vivo X70

Several months have passed since the Vivo X60 series release and the lineup is due for an upgrade. According to leaks and reports, Vivo is gearing up to introduce its Vivo X70 series very soon. Some of the specifications of these devices are already known. Now, we have the complete design thanks to a set of high-resolution CAD renders.

Vivo X70

Interestingly, OnLeaks has also revealed renders of the vanilla Vivo X70 that showcase a similar design and highlight some of its specifications. The base model features a flat 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout. There is also an in-display fingerprint scanner and a triple-camera setup on the back. The device measures 158.5 x 73.4 x 8mm. This goes up to 10.6 mm when you take the camera bump in consideration.

According to recent reports, the new smartphone will run with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC with up to 12 GB of RAM. In terms of software, the new smartphone will also run Funtouch OS based on Android 11 straight out of the box. Among the most notable features, we’ll have the extended RAM feature. Of course, in China, the device will run with the OriginOS branch.

X70 Pro

OnLeaks and 91Mobiles have joined forces to share these high-quality images. The Vivo X70 Pro, based in the images, does not look substantially different from its predecessor. The device features a similar punch-hole display and a rectangular camera module. However, there are some small changes, like the relocation of the triple LED flash and the arrangement of the camera sensors.

The display appears to be slightly curved on its sides, not a surprise as this clearly is an AMOLED display. The device is reportedly coming with an aluminum frame and a protruding camera module. Based on the renders, the device also brings back the ZEISS logo confirming the partnership with the lens company. The logo sits in the upper left corner of the camera module. For those unaware, the Vivo X60 series marked the beginning of this partnership between Vivo and ZEISS.

According to OnLeaks, the Vivo X70 Pro has a 6.5-inch curved display and measure 160.4 x 75.5 x 7.7mm. The device will join the Vivo X70 and Vivo X70 Pro Plus. According to reports, this lineup will hit India sometime in September. It will also be disclosed in the Chinese market in the next month. The new Pro variant will likely bring the second generation of its gimbal-like OIS system.
