Realme GT Neo2 could launch in India soon as more shreds of information about the smartphone have surfaced online. Realme could be on the verge of unveiling its much-awaited GT Neo2 smartphone in India, but the company is still mum on the exact launch date of the handset. While nothing is set in stone yet, a teaser page of the upcoming smartphone has gone live on Realme’s official website.
As expected, the teaser page gives us a glimpse of the device’s key specifications. As if that weren’t enough, Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth has confirmed that the GT Neo2 will launch in the country with a Snapdragon 870 chip soon. The aforesaid landing page confirms that the phone will pack a Snapdragon 870 chipset under the hood. Aside from that, it reveals that the phone will sport an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Realme GT Neo2 To Launch In India Soon
While the landing page does not divulge more details about the Realme GT Neo2, 91mobiles teamed up with noted leaker Mukul Sharma to reveal some vital information about the phone. The tipster told the publication that the Realme GT Neo2 India model will ship with 8GB RAM +128GB ROM and 12GB RAM + 256GB ROM configurations. In China, the device is available in three configurations, including an 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant.
Regrettably, the 8GB RAM + 256GB ROM variant is highly unlikely to launch in India. Furthermore, Sharma claims that Indian consumers will be able to choose from different color options of the Realme GT Neo2. This includes Neo Blue, Neo Green, and a Neo Black color option. To recall, these colorways are already available in China.
Design, Specifications & Price in India (Expected)
The Realme GT Neo2 will be the latest entrant in the company’s well-received GT series smartphones. It is likely to offer flagship-grade performance and adopt a premium design. In terms of design, the phone has slim bezels that encompass the entire display. There’s a punch-hole camera at the corner. Aside from that, the rear panel has a rectangular camera setup at the back.
Under the hood, the phone packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G SoC. It ships with up to 12GB of RAM and offers a hearty 256GB of onboard storage capacity. Furthermore, it has a 6.62-inch AMOLED display that delivers FHD+ resolution, and a high refresh rate of 120Hz. On top of that, the screen offers brightness up to 1300 nits. It houses a 64MP main camera, an 8MP wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro lens at the back.
Upfront, there’s a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone draws its juices from a 5000mAh battery that comes with 65W fast charging support. The Realme GT Neo2 smartphone’s starting price in China is 2399 yuan, which converts roughly to about INR 28,000. The pricing could remain the same for the Indian market. However, with the GST rate, it could retail for around INR 30,000 in the country.
