Google Pixel 6/Pro does not come with a charger – its 30W fast charger cost $25

Yesterday, Google officially released the Google Pixel 6 series which is the company’s latest flagship series. The biggest feature of this smartphone is the use of Google’s self-developed chip, Tensor SoC. The price of Pixel 6 starts at $599 while the Pixel 6 Pro starts at $899. These smartphones seem to be performing well as the Google Store website has been experiencing downtime due to huge traffic. While the pre-sale is ongoing, the official sales will take place on October 28th. However, it is important to note that the Google Pixel 6 series does not come with a charger in the box just like many other flagships. There is only one USB C-to-C data cable in the box. The charger for these smartphones needs to be purchased separately. Google has officially launched a 30W C-mount charging head $25.

The good news is that Google does not use a dedicated charging protocol. Users can purchase PD charging heads at will and they will work just fine. The Google Pixel 6 comes with a built-in 4614 mAh battery that supports 30W PD wired fast charging and 21W wireless fast charging. The Pixel 6 Pro has a built-in 5003 mAh battery that supports 23W wireless fast charging. Here is the official specs sheet for both smartphones.
