Over the past few days, there have been a couple of renders of the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series. These renders are from Letsgodigital considering the recent Xiaomi design patent. However, Xiaomi’s product director, Wang Teng, responding to the renders said its too ugly. This rules out the only look at the upcoming Xiaomi 12. However, we now have a description of what the Xiaomi 12 series will look like.
According to popular Weibo leakster, @DCS, the Xiaomi 12 sill come with a high screen ratio and the bezels on all sides are ultra-thin. Furthermore, the bezels on the sides have a slight curvature + the new flexible ultra-narrow chin. According to him, this device will come with a center punch-hole design. However, the hole diameter is not ultra-small but slighter smaller than the previous generation by visual inspection.
The Xiaomi 12 series will be one of the first smartphones to launch the Snapdragon 898 SoC. From the reports so far, the first batch of SD898 smartphones will arrive in mid-December. Subsequently, there will be many Android smartphones with this processor.

The Xiaomi 12 series will use a ceramic back shell which is very attractive. In the camera department, this upcoming digital series from Xiaomi will use a 50MP main camera. However, there are reports that this 50MP main camera will adopt an ultra-large bottom solution, supporting 1920fps super slow motion. This smartphone will also come with a 50MP high-quality ultra-wide-angle lens. The periscope telephoto is also a 50MP high-quality lens. The main camera is expected to support OIS optical image stabilization.
