One of India’s largest tech audio brands, Boat is back with a bang for 2022, with the company unveiling yet another budget truly-wireless stereo or TWS earbud in the country today.
The brand has taken to the stage to unveil the Boat Airdopes 161, which are an affordable pair of truly wireless earbuds that pack in a 10mm driver, up to 17 hours of battery life, Type-C based fast charging, an IPX5 rating and more for under Rs 1,000.
Boat Airdopes 161: Pricing and Availability
The Boat Airdopes 161 will set you back Rs 999 and will be available for sale starting January 5 on both Amazon and Flipkart, two of India’s largest e-commerce sites. The earbuds will be on offer in three hues, Pearl White, Cool Sapphire and Pebble Black.
When it comes to the specifications, the Boat Airdopes 161 are available with Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity, allowing for the best range, with audio handled by a 10mm driver with a focus on bass.
The earbuds also offer the IWP tech from Boat, which, according to the audio tech maker allows for seamless connection with the paired device once the earbuds are taken out from their charging case.
The Boat Airdopes 161 sport an in-ear design with stems and ear tips to allow for a proper seal, which means that you do not have to worry about the earbuds falling out whilst on a run or doing some extreme activity.

What Else Do We Know About the Earbuds?
Battery life is quite decent, with the earbuds running for 17 hours on a single charge, with each earbud lasting 6 hours on a single charge, with the remaining 11 hours coming in via the included charging case.
Talking about the case, it features a USB Type-C charging port, via which a 10-minute charge allows for 3 hours of music playback. A complete charge takes around 2 hours.
Not only this, certain other features include touch controls for controlling music playback, with the earbuds able to pause, skip, play or change the track, pick or cancel calls and activate your smartphone’s voice assistant, be it Google’s Assistant or Siri. The IPX5 rating helps whilst wearing the earbuds during gym sessions and strenuous workouts.
