Xiaomi announced MIUI 13 a few months ago, and while the update didn’t bring the major visual overhaul that many have been expecting, it brought significant performance improvements. The update comes to fix the laggy UI issues, once and for all. It also addresses certain issues in the path and improves the experience on Xiaomi smartphones. Xiaomi rolled the update for many smartphones, but without Android 12 as the underlying version. Today, as far as the Xiaomi 11 Lite units in India are concerned, users will receive the latest MIUI 13 alongside with Android 12 update.

The company has rolled out MIUI 13 with Android 12 for the POCO F3 GT gaming smartphone in India. Now, it’s time for the Mi 11 Lite to get the same treatment. It’s one of Xiaomi’s sleekest smartphones in the segment and has been available in the market since June 2021. The handset was launched with Android 11 and now is getting the latest version of Android. The newest version of the skin brings several new features as well as performance enhancements.

The build number for this update is V13.0.1.0.SKQINXM. The update is likely rolling out in a gradual manner. Therefore, users should expect this update to reach their devices in a gradual form over the next few days. The changelog of the update is rather vague, but you can check it below. There are the usual underhood improvements for system security. The update is quite heavy with 3 GB, so make sure to download it over Wi-Fi. Otherwise, you may experience high data consumption.

To recall, the Xiaomi 11 Lite brings the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G. The chipset is paired with up to 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of Internal Storage. This particular variant is the 4G version. There is a 6.55-inch AMOLED 90 Hz display. There is a triple-rear camera setup with a 64 MP f/1.79 primary camera, an 8 MP ultrawide snapper, and a 5 MP tele-macro shooter. For selfies and video calls, there’s a 16 MP snapper. The phone draws powers from a 4,250 mAh battery with 33 W fast-charging.

The update is reaching the Xiaomi 11 Lite shortly after reaching the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro smartphones.

The company also does some wide rollouts from time and time, the latest batch included 13 models.
