OnePlus 10 Pro will reach global markets on March 31

OnePlus 10 Pro

A couple of months ago, the OnePlus 10 Pro was unleashed in the Chinese market. The Chinese firm went much ahead of its usual schedule, and that probably came as a reflection of the OnePlus and Oppo merger last year. However, the company still kept its usual schedule for the global market or at least the schedule established with the OnePlus 9 series. OnePlus has just confirmed the OnePlus 10 Pro global launch for March 31. The keynote will tip off at 2 PM GMT / 7:30 PM IST time and will be live-streamed on major platforms including YouTube and Twitter. The company will also stream the event through its homepage.

The OnePlus 10 Pro was originally launched in China way back in January. The device has taken a sweet time to arrive at global markets. Furthermore, a vanilla OnePlus 10 is nowhere to be mentioned in the new teasers for the global launch. Therefore, it seems we’ll have to wait a bit more for that model to arrive. It’s crazy to see this “granular” launch coming from OnePlus. It’s quite strange to see the “high-brother” coming and the vanilla at a later date. The vanilla may end up being a little pointless.

Worth noting, however, that the OnePlus teaser is at the bare minimum “suggestive”. OnePlus plays with the fact that all the OnePlus 10 Pro specifications are already known. It asks us “what else is there to expect?”. Well, maybe it’s just me, but this sounds like OnePlus’ way to tell us to wait for surprises. We may see a difference in specs for the global OnePlus 10 Pro, extra features, or even the OnePlus 10 release. Time will tell, but the company has been teasing the launch of a new OnePlus 10 series smartphone in India.

OnePlus 10 Pro specifications

When it comes to the specifications, the OnePlus 10 Pro brings basically what most 2022 flagships are bringing. The device has a large 6.7-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED panel with Quad HD+ resolution and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. The screen offers support for a 120 Hz refresh rate. One time this is LTPO 2.0, we can expect dynamic, battery-saving, adjustments. The phone boasts the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and Adreno 730 GPU.

The OnePlus 10 Pro has up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of Internal Storage. We’re not sure which variants are coming for the global markets. The device draws its powers from a generous 5,000 mAh battery with support for 80 W wired fast-charging and 50 W wireless charging.

In related news, OnePlus’ co-founder and former employee, Carl Pei announced that his company “Nothing” will reveal a smartphone this summer – the Nothing phone (1). The device will change the industry and will run “Nothing OS”. This basically sounds like an attempt to revive the OnePlus’ spirit pre-Oppo merger.
