OnePlus continues its campaign to fill the market with OnePlus Nord smartphones. Just a few weeks after the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 2 5G, the company is here with yet another OnePlus Nord series smartphone. Worth noting, that this has been a quite hectic week for OnePlus fans. After all, the company has just introduced the OnePlus Ace Racing Edition and now is unveiling the OnePlus Nord 2T. This device has been floating in the rumor mill since the beginning of the year. Now, the company is finally taking the wraps off, and as expected the phone comes with the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. Other highlights include an AMOLED screen with a 90 Hz refresh rate and the company’s 80 W fast-charging.

The device isn’t the OnePlus Nord 3, at this point, we don’t if there will be a OnePlus Nord 3 before the end of the year. Anyway, it still stands as a sequel for the OnePlus Nord 2 from 2021. The device has the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 which basically is an upgrade over the Dimensity 1200 that powers the Nord 2. This processor is a revamped Dimensity 1200 with the very same 6 nm process from TSMC. This time around, the processor has 1 x ARM Cortex-A78 core clocked at up to 3 GHz, 3 x ARM Cortex-A78 running at 2.6 GHz, and 4 x ARM Cortex A55 cores running at 2 GHz. The graphical tasks are ensured by a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU.

The OnePlus Nord 2T flaunts a 6.43-inch AMOLED screen with a Full HD+ resolution and 90 Hz refresh rate.  There is a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 covering the display and a punch-hole that serves as a home for the 32 MP selfie snapper. Moving around to the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup. The primary camera is a 50 MP Sony IMX 766 main sensor, there is also an 8 MP ultrawide snapper and a 2 MP monochrome shooter. The primary camera comes with Optical Image Stabilization.

In terms of software, the phone runs Android 12 with OxygenOS 12.1. In terms of battery, the device has a modest 4,500 mAh battery with 80 W charging. This charging tech has been recurring among BBK Electronics group smartphones. Since the merger with Oppo, OnePlus isn’t even bothering with rebranding the charging tech, it’s labeled as 80 W SuperVOOC charging.

Pricing and Availability

The OnePlus Nord 2T is available in variants with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and 12 GB of RAM with 256 GB of Internal Storage. The price of the basic variant is €399 / £369, the higher one will set you back by €499 / £469. Worth noting that the Open Sales will start on May 24 via the OnePlus Store and some partner retailers. The company is giving away a free pair of OnePlus Buds Z2 wireless earphones to early buyers.
