Developers are invited to watch the WWDC22 event on June 6 at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. However, they will need to comply with Apple’s recently implemented stricter COVID-19 prevention rules. From the reports so far, Apple will most likely release the iOS 16, iPadOS 16, watchOS 9 and other systems at WWDC22. In the email sent out, Apple informed developers that they would need to wear N95 masks indoors and that they would need to test negative for an FDA-approved COVID antigen the day before. Attendees will need to upload their negative test results to Apple’s portal before arriving at “Apple Park.”

This is an updated guidance that reflects the growing number of cases of COVID-19 in California and other states. Earlier, Apple’s official website said that developers would be required to test three days before the event. Furthermore, the previous requirements state that masks were optional. However, these criteria are no longer available on the website. Obviously, Apple has decided to make wearing a mask compulsory.

Gizchina News of the week

There has been speculation that the company may cancel the event, as it recently delayed plans to keep company employees in the office three days a week due to rising Covid-19 cases. However, Apple appears to have opted for stricter protections.

On its website, Apple said attendees must follow its health and safety protocols, which take into account the latest guidance from public health authorities. Apple assures developers that hand sanitizer stations will available. Furthermore, all surfaces will be regularly cleaned throughout the event.

iOS 16 beta to arrive in July

Apple will unveil the iOS 16 in good time this year as the WWDC22 event draws closer. There are also reports that the first public beta version of iOS 16 will available in July this year. This is a little later than the usual time frame.

While the iOS 16 public beta may delay a little, the internal torrents are presently buggy. However, these are just speculations at the moment, and if things go well, Apple may release the public beta on time. So be sure to treat these messages with caution, as the final decision rests with Apple. Developers can choose to download the version on their compatible iPhone models immediately after the event. The initial beta of a new update usually has a lot of bugs, so it’s wise not to install them in your daily drive. According to rumours, iOS 16 will improve the notification system and add a new multitasking management interface to iPadOS.
