Realme Pad X 5G coming with Center Stage-esque “Limelight” for video calls

Realme Pad X 5G

Realme had a shy start in the tablet business with the Realme Pad. The original tablet was a mid-range product focused on non-exigent people. The company expanded its range with the Realme Pad Air a super-budget model. More recently, it brought the Realme Pad X to the light of day – its more powerful tablet to date. The product was introduced with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, and a unique design. However, it arrived in a single Wi-Fi-only variant. Now, the company is preparing to launch the Realme Pad X 5G variant in India. The brand it’s advertising it as the “only 5G tablet in the premium mid-range smartphone segment”. However, 5G won’t be the only addition. The R&D team will introduce “Limelight”. It’s a feature to make video calls a little bit easier and will use the tablet’s wide-angle front-facing camera. It’s coming first with the Realme Pad X 5G.

Limelight is Realme’s take on Apple’s Center Stage

The feature arrives in a similar fashion to Apple’s Center Stage. Limelight will automatically track you to make sure that you are in the center of the frame. You’ll be free to move about instead of being anchored to your chair. Moreover, the limelight can support tracking for up to 5 people. So it’s pretty useful in a group situation. The Algorithm will zoom out to accommodate someone new joining the group and zoom back in if someone leaves. The feature will support Zoom, Google Meet, and Google Duo at launch. Realme is working on adding support for other video calling apps. Hence, you can expect the Realme Pad X 5G to support more apps in the future.
