Samsung Galaxy S23 series highly disappoints users

South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, usually releases its new Galaxy flagship series in the first quarter of the year. Considering that we are already in Q3, we have only a few months to the launch of a new Galaxy series. Earlier today, there was a report that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series got the Chinese 3C certification. The certification reveals that this series will come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. In fact, these devices may even be the first to use this flagship processor. However, the chip information is not what catches the attention of users.

Samsung Galaxy S23 series only supports 25W charging

The 3C certification also reveals that theĀ Samsung Galaxy S23 will support only 25W wired fast charging. This is a huge disappointment for many Android users.Ā For a high-end flagship in 2023, the 25W fast charge is slightly less competitive than competing products. According to PhoneArena, all OnePlus mid-range models now support 150W wired flash charging. This means that the charging capacity of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be a disappointment. In fact, in the Android camp, anything below 50W is appalling.

Compared with the Android camp opponents, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series’ fast charging is obviously at a disadvantage. But compared with the iPhone 14 series, Samsung’s 25W fast charge is an advantage. The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra with a large 5000mAh battery gets a full charge in about an hour using its 25W charger.Ā By comparison, the iPhone 14 Pro Max uses a 30W charger and takes about two hours to charge from 0 to 100%. This is almost twice as long as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra.

However, these models are nowhere near other Chinese flagships.Ā At present, iQOO 10 Pro has mass-produced commercial 200W wired fast charging, which can charge the large 4700 mAh battery to 100% in just 10 minutes.Ā It is foreseeable that in 2023 we will also see the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 smartphone that supports 200W flash charging.
