The Chinese phone maker Dogee is expected to launch a few rugged phones, tablets, and smartphones next month. Among all of them, one of the most interesting upcoming devices would definitely be the Doogee V Max. Wondering why?

The leaked specs of the phone show that the phone will be a battery life king. But the battery is not the only thing that makes the Doogee V Max stand out. The smartphone also goes all out in the camera department!

Screen and Cameras of Doogee V Max

The Doogee V Max is all set to come with a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS screen. This panel will feature Gorilla Glass protection and support a 120Hz refresh rate. On the top of the screen, a notch will house a 32MP selfie shooter. According to the leaks, Doogee is utilizing the Sony IMX616 for the front camera. It will have a 90° FOV.

On the back of the Doogee V Max, you have a leather-like finish and a design that takes heavy inspiration from the Ventu phones launched last year. The back also boasts a triple camera setup, which houses a 108 MP primary camera, 20MP Night Vision sensor, and 16MP ultra-wide camera.

The primary camera of the Doogee V Max will be the Samsung S5KHM2SP03 sensor, while the Night Vision camera is the Sony IMX350. What about the ultra-wide sensor? Well, we did not get any detailed info about it. But from the leaks, we can tell that it will sport a 130° FOV and autofocus, allowing you to use it as a macro camera too.

Doogee V Max Backside

There are two flashes on the left side of the camera module. And on the right side, you have two infrared night vision lights. The Sony IMX350 will rely on these infrared lights to offer you bright pictures in low-light settings.

Storage, SoC, OS, and RAM

The Doogee V Max will come with a Dimensity 1080 SoC. Doogee paired this SoC with 12GB of RAM, which is virtually expandable to up to 19 GB. There is also 256GB of internal UFS 3.1 storage. You can expand the storage with TF cards if you want to.

Doogee will ship the V Max with Android 12. However, there is clear info regarding the OS upgrade plan. And we don’t know when it will get Android 13.

Battery Specs of Doogee V Max

The Doogee V Max’s biggest highlight is undoubtedly its chunky 22000mAh battery. However, do not expect the battery to get filled up too fast. The USB-C port of the V Max can only offer up to 33W.

Nonetheless, once Doogee launches the V Max, it will definitely be the king of smartphones when it comes to battery life. Currently, the crown is being held by the Oukitel WP 19 rugged smartphone. And that packs a 21000mAH cell.

Wondering what the battery life of the Doogee V Max will be like? Doogee states that the battery has 6 to 10 days of endurance on regular use. It can offer up to 100 hours of calling and up to 64 days of standby.

And as you can expect, the Doogee V Max is chunky. For the whopping 22000mAh battery, it is 27.3mm thick. However, Doogee did not let any info about its weight out. But we expect it to be reasonably heavy. At least, it will be heavier than the Oukitel WP 19 rugged smartphone, which is around 570 grams or 1.25 pounds.

Rest of the Specs

The other highlights of the Doogee V Max include NFC, 5G connectivity, and a side-mounted fingerprint reader. One of the good things is that the NFC has Google Pay support. So, you will not find it that challenging to daily drive this phone.

Other than that, the Doogee V Max sports a customizable key on the left side. You can program it accordingly. And it boasts MIL-STD-8810H and IP68/69 certifications. That means you can easily take it out when it is raining outside.

Doogee confirmed that the V Max would come with High-Res Audio standards. And the standards will be defined by Japan Audio Association. Therefore, you can expect to get full-bodied and well-detailed sound out of it.

Finally, the V Max is expected to come in three different colorways. They are Classic Black, Moonshine Silver, and Sunshine Gold. Each of them seems to have a touch of blue on the camera module, which blends pretty well with the phone’s color. And they will stand out from the other smartphones in the market.

However, we have no clear information regarding how much the V Max will cost. But as the specs are already here, you can definitely expect Doogee to start the promo campaign for the phone soon. And when the promo campaign starts, you will get more details about this rugged smartphone. So, stay tuned!
