Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Series Launched with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy and More

Today was a big day for Samsung Galaxy enthusiasts. The brand presented a bunch of new products including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and the Galaxy Watch6. In addition, the giant also presents the next iteration of its high-end tablet lineup with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series. Samsung has been always refreshing its Galaxy Tab series and making them more appealing with every new generation. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 series stands with some of the best-ever tablet offerings from Samsung. We have a vanilla tablet with a massive 11-inch display, a plus version with a 12.4-inch diagonal, and a high-end ultra Ultra model with a huge 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED panel.

One of the most notable differences between the S9 and the last year’s S8 series is that for the first time, all three models in the lineup boast OLED panels. That’s a remarkable step from Samsung to make OLED a standard even on its large-sized devices. Apart from that, the new devices follow the S8 series in terms of design and features. The internals, however, are quite different and represent a significant upgrade over the last year’s models. Without further ado, let’s see what these new tablets have in tow.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and Galaxy Tab S9 Plus

The vanilla Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 brings a remarkable upgrade over its predecessor. Instead of an LCD panel like the Galaxy Tab S8, the Tab S9 brings a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel like its larger siblings. The Galaxy Tab S9 boasts an 11-inch Diagonal with a 120 Hz Adaptive Refresh rate. The panel also brings a 12 MP front-facing camera and an under-display fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Plus has a larger 12.4-inch panel. However, it brings the same refresh rate and has a dual-camera setup on the rear. The combo brings a 13 MP main camera plus an 8 MP ultrawide snapper. So you won’t have problems when taking pictures with this tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and S9+ also boast Samsung’s Vision Booster technology. To those unfamiliar with the term, this technology greatly improves display visibility by “considering the light intensity of the surroundings and its influence on display”. According to Samsung, the algorithm behind this tech analyses the histogram data of all content appearing on the display and inspects each pixel’s value. It then tone-maps to adjust the display, making dark areas brighter, colors richer, and maximizing color contrast. It greatly improves the contrast between dark and light aspects of digital content.

Powerful Hardware Inside

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 and Tab S9+ bring the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy SoC. However, the Tab S9 is available in variants with 8 GB/ 12 GB RAM and 128 GB/256 GB. The Plus variant, on the other hand, gets a third variant with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of Internal Storage. The SD 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy still offers a significant advantage over the competition with its overclocked Prime Cortex-X3 core. Therefore, the Galaxy Tab S9 series should now sit among the most powerful Android tablets.

The Galaxy Tab S9 brings a 8,400 mAh battery while the Plus has a 10,900 mAh battery. Both tablets offer support for up to 45W fast charging. All S9 models run One UI 5.1 based on Android 13 and come bundled with the S Pen styluses.
