Introducing the Motorola Moto G54, now officially available for purchase in China and India, with slight variations between the two markets.

Both versions of this phone share key components. They come equipped with a powerful 6nm Dimensity 7020 chipset, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for snappy performance.

The display on the Moto G54 features a 6.5-inch 1080x2400px IPS LCD panel with a high 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals, and a responsive 240Hz touch sampling rate.

When it comes to photography, there’s a 50MP main camera on the back, providing sharp and detailed shots, while a 16MP sensor resides on the front for selfies.

Let’s delve into the differences. In China, the Moto G54 houses a 5,000mAh battery with 15W charging. Making it a sleek 8.04mm thick and weighing in at 179.7 grams. Its secondary back camera is a modest 2MP depth sensor. Additionally, the Chinese variant flaunts three Vegan Leather finish options – Blue, Green, and Magenta. They are available for purchase immediately at CNY 1,099 (about $150).

Meanwhile, the Indian version boasts a larger 6,000mAh battery. Offering 16% more capacity and faster charging with a bundled 33W brick. Furthermore, the Indian Moto G54 offers a higher-end 12GB/256GB configuration alongside the 8GB/128GB option. Introducing the Dimensity 7020 chipset to the Indian market.

In terms of design, the Indian Moto G54 is slightly bulkier at 8.89mm and weighs 192 grams. Its three color choices – Mint Green, Midnight Blue, and Pearl Blue – sport a “glass-like” plastic finish.

Indian buyers also get an imaging upgrade, with an 8MP ultrawide camera featuring autofocus alongside the 50MP main shooter.

Motorola has committed to future-proofing the Moto G54 by promising an update to Android 14 and providing 3 years of security updates.

The smartphone will hit the shelves in both 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB variants, available in three captivating colors – Mint Green, Pearl Blue, and Midnight Blue – starting September 6, with pricing details soon to be revealed.
