    It doesn’t need to beat the M3. It needs to beat x86 offerings in terms of performance, price, and efficiency. If it performs merely as well as M1, it stands to revolutionize Windows platform hardware offerings.

    It would be nearly impossible to beat or even match M3 on 5nm and that would missing the point. Intel currently accounts for giant chunk of hardware margins and sticking with Intel is impairing Windows ability to get paired with competitive hardware platforms. Microsoft needs to get ARM running for all the same reasons Apple did.
