Nothing Phone (2a): Some Of Its Specs Have Been Confirmed; The Device Won’t Launch in the US

Earlier today, Nothing officially confirmed the launch of the Nothing Phone (2a) for March 5. The new smartphone marks the company’s entrance into the mid-range market. The device is an important step for the brand if it aims to join the mainstream smartphone market. A new mid-range phone means that more consumers will be able to access the brand without having to pay for the premium lineup. However, if you’re a US resident and have been eagerly waiting for the new smartphone, the company has just confirmed the phone won’t be available for direct purchase in the United States.

Officially, the Nothing Phone (2a) won’t be launched in the United States. The same happened with the Nothing Phone (1), although the (1) was available through a beta program. Since the phone isn’t getting an official release in the country, it won’t be possible to buy the phone directly from retailers. However, Nothing will still offer the phone to certain developers in the country. Those working on the recently announced Glyph Developer Kit will be able to acquire the smartphone. For other regions like India, the Nothing Phone (2a) will be widely available from March 5.
