Oppo Watch X Debuts With Wear OS, onboard GPS, and Stainless Steel Frame

Oppo Watch X

Oppo already has a good number of smart wearables in its portfolio. There’s also one with Wear OS, one of the most flexible and feature-packed wearable wearable operating systems around. But the newly launched Oppo Watch X is different. With this, the brand is taking on the flagship options from Samsung and Google.

But it’s not just the capabilities and the power that makes the Watch X a proper alternative to the latest Google Pixel Watch or Samsung Galaxy Watch. Instead, it’s also the design and the price point. Of course, it goes without saying that the new smartwatch isn’t entirely new. Instead, it’s basically the rebranded version of the OnePlus Watch 2, which also broke covers a few days back.

Main Highlights of Oppo Watch X

So, what exactly makes the Oppo Watch X worthy of consideration? Well, there are a good number of reasons. Here’s a quick rundown of some of them:

Premium and Classic Design

One of the first highlights of the Oppo Watch X is the design. With a round dial that features flush buttons on the right, the new smartwatch offers a classy and elegant look. Moreover, the wearable is available in two colors: Platinum Black and Mars Brown.

Among them, the Platinum Black has a simple yet eye-catching look to it. With a classy black strap and a deep black chassis, this colorway stands as a versatile option for both professional and casual looks. The Mars Brown, on the other hand, leans more towards classic looks. But the brown colorway of the strap isn’t too out of place. As a matter of fact, it blends well with the silver-toned chassis of the Watch X.

Durable Build Quality of Oppo Watch X

A good-looking watch doesn’t mean anything if it doesn’t last. Oppo knows that exactly well. That’s why the company has opted for a durable stainless steel chassis that can easily take day-to-day abuse. What’s more is that the Oppo Watch X features sapphire crystal glass.

Sapphire Glass

Oppo says that the sapphire crystal glass is over 8 on the Mohs scale of hardness. It also offers 400% better drop resistance and 50% improved puncture resistance than regular watch glasses. That means you can wear the Oppo Watch X for everyday adventures without any worries.

Durability ratings

But Oppo didn’t stop there. The Watch X has also gone through 16 MIL-STD-810H tests and passed all of them with flying colors. You get IP68 and 5ATM waterproof resistance ratings too. All of these make this Oppo smartwatch an easy choice for adventuring in challenging environments.
