Huawei has launched the Nova Y73 for international markets. The new smartphone is the global version of the Enjoy 80, which was launched in China last month. Both smartphones are identical when it comes to design and specifications. They also have the same two color options: Blue and Black.
Huawei Nova Y73 Goes Global: Budget Phone with Decent Features
The Nova Y73 features a 6.67-inch LCD display. It boasts HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The screen also supports a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, which is useful under bright outdoor conditions. Up front, it has an 8MP camera inside a tiny punch-hole cutout. At the back, the device features a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture. There is a secondary sensor, though its function has not been revealed.
Huawei has not publicly stated the processor of their phone. It will feature the Kirin 710A chip. This is a 14nm chipset that was initially launched back in 2018. Although it’s not a new chip, it will be good enough for everyday tasks. The device features 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. It also features a dedicated “Enjoy X Key” on the left side. This button can be configured to open apps or features directly.
Huawei Nova Y73 with Reused Design and Specs
The Nova Y73 runs Huawei’s EMUI 12 software. It has a large 6,620mAh battery, which should comfortably last more than a day for most users. The phone supports 40W wired charging, so you can top up the battery quickly when you need to.
The other features include IP64 dust and water resistance, NFC, headphone jack, and an infrared (IR) blaster. All these features combined make the Nova Y73 a great budget smartphone.
Huawei has not shared official pricing or release information for the global model just yet. But the Nova Y73 is clearly for value hunters. It boasts a nice display, big battery, decent cameras, and handy extras—all for what promises to be an affordable price.
We can expect to hear more on availability in the next few days as Huawei rolls the phone out in more territories.
