The specs of the upcoming Honor 50 Pro + has appeared online

Huawei is confidently “drowning” in smartphone sales and there are no indicators that the situation will change for the better in the near future. In an attempt to resist what was happening and save its sub-brand, the company sold Honor, which, although it remains afloat, has somehow stalled recently. Perhaps the new impetus will be the launch of the Honor 50 series, which is expected to include three models.

Traditionally, a pro version and a pro plus flagship will be paired with the basic version. This will be the very same Honor 50 Pro +; and today insiders have leaked the characteristics of the new product to the network.

If the information is reliable, then Honor 50 Pro + will receive an unknown model 5-nanometer chip with Cortex-A78 cores and Mali-G78 graphics. We saw such a combination in the Exynos 1080 and Exynos 2100 processors; so it remains to see whether Samsung will actually start selling its chips to Honor; or whether insiders were wrong in their predictions. Moreover, other sources claim that the new product will be awarded the Snapdragon 888.

The smartphone will receive 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a 128GB UFS 3.1 flash drive; and a 4400mAh battery with fast 67W wired charging and 50W wireless. Among the characteristics of the Honor 50 Pro +, a dual front camera of 32 Mp + 8 Mp; and a main camera of 50 Mp (f / 1.8) + 13 Mp (wide, f / 2.2) + 8 Mp (telephoto, f / 2.4) + ToF are present.

The display should be 6.79 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate. And this is an AMOLED panel with HDR10 + support. They promise protection against dust and moisture according to the IP68 standard. The expected time of the announcement of the Honor 50 Pro + is this May. We recommend not to rush and take this information with caution, no one guarantees their reliability.

Recall that Honor brand is no longer owned by Huawei, but at this stage, the benefits of breaking with the parent company are not particularly visible. It seems that negotiations with Google have stalled and this may explain the lack of models for the global market.
