The last pre-order sale took place in October, but now, the Sony PS5 is going to be back in stock, with Sony Centre announcing the next PS5 India restock date.
The Sony PS5 will be available for pre-orders on December 6 at 12 PM at Sony Centre, with GamesTheShop confirming that the store will also be taking pre-orders for both the PS5 Digital Edition and regular PS5 on December 6 at 12 PM IST.

Other retailers like Reliance Digital, Croma, Flipkart and Amazon are yet to announce the restock date, but they are likely to do it soon via their social media handles, so keep an eye out for that, with retailers also likely to receive the console on Monday, December 6.

Pricing-wise, the PS5 Digital Edition retails for Rs 39,990, while the Disc variant comes at Rs 49,990. Both of these variants will retail for the same price across stores, with the only difference being in terms of offers. Local retailers might also take orders on the same date.

What Else is Sony Working on?
The reason behind this choice is the chip shortage plaguing the global electronics industry. The company was expecting 16 million units of the PS5 to be produced between April 2021 and March 2022.
However, now it has dropped the figure by a million because of the continuous supply constraints. Despite this, the company is still satisfied with the amount of PlayStation 5 consoles being sold and, apparently, it’s having a very positive start with the console.
The company had earlier said that it will likely sell 14.8 million units of the PlayStation 5 during the year. It means that 15 million will make the cut in terms of revenues and profits.
However, it also means that new buyers, or those in between, will not be able to get their hands on the new console. If you’re not in a hurry for a PS5, then you’ll probably don’t be greatly affected by the shortage.
