Apple's updates to the iPhone lineup will keep making rounds in the internet for the next months. The new iPhone 17 series brought several updates, but the new iPhone Air with a 5.6mm body certainly took the spotlight. Obviously, today's event wasn't only about the new iPhones. As usual, Apple's Fall event also brought new smartwatches! Three
new smartwatches also joined the lineup:
Apple Watch Series 11,
Apple Watch SE 3, and the rugged Watch Ultra 3. They brought upgrades, but one significant change is that all of them now connect over 5G. It is a first for Apple’s wearables! Two of them add health tools aimed at blood pressure tracking. Without further ado, let's dive into the new lineup.
Apple Watch Series 11
The Apple Watch Series 11 is thinner than any Apple Watch before it, yet tougher too. Apple swapped in Ion-X glass with a ceramic finish, which it says holds up twice as well as the previous model. You still get the usual 42mm and 46mm options, dressed in either aluminum or titanium.
On the health side, the big new feature is hypertension awareness. It isn’t live everywhere yet, since Apple is waiting for regulators, but once cleared, it will ping you if blood pressure patterns look unusual. Sleep tracking also gets a boost. The watch now hands you a score from 0 to 100 that blends hours slept, bedtime consistency, and how often you wake during the night. Add in 24-hour heart rate and oxygen checks, plus a battery that actually lasts through the night, and it’s a stronger health tracker than before.
Color choices include Jet Black, Silver, Rose Gold, and Space Gray in aluminum, with Natural, Gold, and Slate for titanium. Pricing starts at $399, or $429 if you want the bigger size. Going cellular adds $100. Preorders opened immediately in major markets like the US, UK, India, and Japan, with deliveries rolling out on September 19.
Apple Watch SE 3
The cheaper SE got more love this year. It finally has an always-on display, something missing in earlier versions, and it runs on last year’s S10 chip. That upgrade allows gesture shortcuts such as double-tap and wrist flick. Sizes are still 40mm and 44mm, and 5G is optional.
Charging has been sped up. Plug it in for 15 minutes and you’ll squeeze out about eight hours of use. Sleep scoring is included here, too, along with round-the-clock heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring.
It comes in Starlight and Midnight. The entry price is $249, and shipping begins September 19.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
The most rugged of the bunch now carries a brighter LTPO 3.0 OLED screen with thinner borders, making it easier to read outdoors. The Ultra 3 supports 5G as well and has stronger satellite tools for sending an SOS, sharing your location, or messaging when you’re off the grid. It shares the new hypertension warnings and sleep score with the Series 11, but the standout here is battery life. The Ultra 3 stretches to 42 hours on a single charge, the best Apple has delivered yet.
Buyers can choose between Black Titanium and Natural Titanium. Pricing kicks off at $799, with launch day the same as the rest of the lineup, September 19.
With these three models, Apple is clearly trying to cover every type of buyer. The SE 3 continues Apple's push into the affordable market. The Apple Watch Series 11 sharpens the balance between style and health features. Finally, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 pushes battery and durability to new heights.
