As was expected with the introduction of the with
Retina display and quad core
CPU, has reduced prices of the current generation 2. Last night, in (and around the world) Apple’s store went offline, but while stores around the were with the
iPad,
China’s website got nothing more than 2 prices.
The current generation
iPad 2 is now priced at 2998
Yuan for the base model 16Gb Wi-fi only ($475) which is considerably more than the $399
price tag for
iPad 2’s States side.
While the
iPad 2
price drop was expected it’s pretty surprising that
Apple have dropped the price in
China so soon after the
new iPad’s announcement.
It typically takes 3 months longer for the latest
iOS device to arrive in China, however this sooner than expected
price drop may indicated the
new and improved
iPad is making it’s was sooner than expected!
