Apple's 20th anniversary iPhone is still a year away. The leaks, however, are not waiting. A new Weibo post from tipster Fixed Focus Digital adds two details to the growing iPhone 20 rumor pile. Neither is confirmed. Both are plausible given what we already know.
An Air-Inspired Frame — and Matching Thinness
The first claim is about design. The iPhone 20 will reportedly share its mid-frame design language with the iPhone Air. It will also match the Air's slim profile — meaning Apple is apparently trying to make its 20th anniversary flagship as thin as its ultra-slim model.
That's an interesting engineering challenge. Thin and powerful are usually at odds. Which is why the second detail matters.
A Bigger Vapor Chamber to Handle the Heat
The iPhone 20's vapor chamber cooling system will reportedly be around one inch larger than the one used in current iPhone Pro models. One inch sounds minor. In a phone chassis, that's a significant amount of additional thermal real estate.

Apple already uses vapor chamber cooling in the iPhone 17 Pro. Scaling it up makes sense — especially if the iPhone 20 is running a high-performance chip inside a chassis as thin as the Air. More surface area means more heat dissipation. Less throttling under sustained load. That matters for AI processing more than almost anything else.
Tipster Fixed Focus Digital claims the iPhone 20 will adopt an Air-inspired mid-frame, match the iPhone Air's slim profile, and feature a vapor chamber roughly one inch larger than current Pro models — adding to existing rumors of curved all-glass construction, solid-state buttons, and under-display Face ID ahead of a fall 2027 launch.
What the Rest of the Rumor Mill Says
Fixed Focus Digital's claims sit on top of a broader pile of leaks that have been building for months. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman described a mostly glass, curved iPhone with no cutouts in the display — curved glass wrapping around all four edges. Solid-state buttons have also been widely reported.
The iPhone 20 Pro Max is separately rumored to carry a 6.96-inch display, a 6,000mAh battery, under-display Face ID, and reverse wireless charging.
One Thing Worth Flagging
I have to stress out that Fixed Focus Digital has a mixed track record. They correctly called the iPhone 16e name. They also incorrectly predicted a 120Hz display for the iPhone 17. That's not a reason to dismiss these claims — but it is a reason not to treat them as settled fact. This is early-stage speculation on a phone that doesn't launch until fall 2027.
Still, an Air-inspired frame with expanded cooling is exactly the kind of design decision that makes engineering sense for a glass-heavy, ultra-thin anniversary iPhone. Whether Apple actually pulls it off is a different question entirely.
