Lenovo Legion Y9000P / Y7000P Gaming Notebooks Launched

Lenovo has been promoting its new-gen gaming laptops for a few months. Today, following the schedule, the company announced a number of new gaming products in the Legion series. Among them, we should pay special attention to the gaming laptops dubbed the Legion Y7000P and the Legion Y9000P. These notebooks come with the 12th-generation Intel Core processors and RTX 30-series graphics cards. The new gaming notebooks are already available for pre-order and will start shipping on March 10.

However, there are many features these laptops boast of. So let's dig into details.

The new Lenovo Legion Y7000P uses a metal design. The screen size is 15.6 inches and it has a 2560*1440 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 300nit brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut, and supports Dolby Vision.

Inside the thin body, the laptop is very powerful. The new Y7000P is available in either i5-12500H or i7-12700H processor versions. Users can even choose any graphic cards from RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti (95W). Anyway, regardless of what processor or GPU you choose, the memory configuration remains the same. We mean the processor is paired with a 16GB DDR5-4800 memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

Well, we are dealing with a gaming product. So the heat dissipation should be at the highest level. The new Legion Y7000P adopts dual fans + 3 heat pipes. This combination can achieve a 45+95W performance release.

Lastly, as for interfaces, the Legion Y7000P uses 1 Thunderbolt 4 port, 3 USB-A ports, 2 full-featured USB-C interfaces, 1 wired network port, 1 HDMI 2.1 interface, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Legion Y9000P adopts a double-sided metal design. (The model above uses metal only on the top panel.). It sports a 16-inch quad-sided narrow border screen, which also comes with a 2560*1600 resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 500nit brightness, 100% sRGB color gamut, HDR400 certification, and supports Dolby Vision.

Under the hood, we can find either i5-12500H or an i7-12700H processor. Like the Y7000P, there are two GPU variants of RTX 3060 and RTX 3070 Ti. The laptop comes standard with 16GB DDR5-4800 memory and 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.

In terms of heat dissipation, the Legion Y9000P adopts dual fans + 5 heat pipes. They can achieve a 45+130/140W performance release.

Lastly, this model uses 1 Thunderbolt 4 interface, 3 USB-A interfaces, 2 full-featured USB-C interfaces, 1 wired network port, 1 HDMI 2.1 interface, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
